Dress c/o Causeway Mall / Shoes, Dolce Vita / Crown, DIY

We just returned from our getaway to Palm Springs and it was MARVELOUS!  So great to spend the weekend away from home and  in the sun with my loves.  Rylee’s first vacation was a great success!  Oh, aside from getting stuck in traffic for 4 HOURS on the way home! Ugh…talk about bad timing.  Anyway, Rylee  was such a trooper and slept for most of our drive back.  The car puts us both to sleep!  As much as I love leaving for vacation….it’s always good to return home.  Getaways don’t happen as often as they used to for us, so I savored every minute of it.  Anyway, I’ll post photos soon.  I even took some video but with my lack of talent in the video department….it may take a bit to get that put together.  My multi-talented cousin is going to teach me the basics of final cut pro so hopefully I can turn my footage into something worth watching!  It’s something i’ve wanted to learn for forever.  (one of the many things on my list!)  And I want to be a good mom and document all the special moments of Rylee’s life!  Pictures are awesome, but home movies have always been my favorite.

Well, happy (almost) Valentines day!!  I chose this poppy dress and pink berry crown I made in spirit of the holiday. (Still can’t get enough of poppy red).  It kind of makes me feel like little red riding hood (the blonde version) or like i’m part of some garden fairytale. Not a bad feeling to have. Ha!  I hope your “significant others” treat you well tomorrow!  But even if you don’t have a ring on your finger or a boy on your arm…hopefully tomorrow is a reminder that the love you give and receive is equally as valued!  And eat some Dove chocolate hearts….that almost always makes me feel better! Lots of love to you.

I can’t believe it’s already almost Valentines day.  Didn’t we just celebrate Christmas!? Yeesh! Either way…i’m kind of excited to see all the red, pink, hearts and sparkle all over the blogsphere right now! I have had a slight obsession with the colors nude and poppy paired together as of late (notably so in my Valentine’s Day inspiration roundup above).  I am dying over THIS outfit! Just perfection.

Are you guys doing anything fun for Valentine’s day!!? We usually don’t do much. I figure we have EVERYDAY to celebrate our love.  But I guess an excuse to dress up, eat chocolate and write love notes is fine by me! I was surprised when Sam told me he actually booked us a hotel in Palm Spring for the weekend! I’m so excited! We both just love it there. It’s our first vacation since Rylee was born.  Last time we were in Palm Springs it was our one year anniversary…..and we made her! haha.  It’s not our “plan” to continue that tradition.  But I can’t wait to relax and enjoy the sun with my family!  I love them so much.  I just got Ry a new swimsuit that I don’t want to EVER take her out of! Her big belly and thigh rolls are the best thing ever.  I’ll be sure to take some pics!

Have the LOVE-liest of weekends.

And if any of you GUYS read this blog (I’d like to believe there are a few of you)….there is even MORE for you to check out.  See the full Spring collection HERE.

A few sweet creations designed by LIESCHEN MULLER stopped me in my tracks as I was browsing through ‘a little muse’ the other day.  Which is a blog you MUST check out by the way!  It is the a diary of Annemarie Lawless and her daughter Tallulah….documenting their life together and exploring her passions in photography, film, fashion, music and interior design.   Such a great concept! It inspires me to document life in this way with Rylee.  It’s so full of amazing memories captured on film for the two of them to fondly look back on later.  It actually reminds me of a youtube video I recently saw – RIGHT HERE – of a father using the web to share memories with his daughter as she grows up.  Ohhhh my, technology has come so far :)  But I digress….

Anneliese Mueller (of Lieshchen Mueller) is an amazing German artist who creates fanciful softies, handmade pinatas, feather headbands, and some of the sweetest children’s clothes I have ever seen!  Her color palette is a dream and her creativity is endless! She can be found on her BLOG / FLICKR / ETSY…..and some of her creations are sold at  I am spying THIS little dress for Ry. La la looove.
