What a weekend! Saturday I met up with Chris Wiegand (other half to Casey Wiegand) to be filmed for his documentary “American Blogger”. If you haven’t heard about it, you can read more about it here….or follow along on his journey across the US here.
I realized two things.
One, that video cameras make me extremely nervous. I tried to act natural, but acting natural in front a huge camera recording everything I was saying and doing….well, just didn’t come “naturally”. Chris was great though, and as the day went on, I felt more and more comfortable. But there was definitely a fair share of fumbling thoughts and awkward pauses. I guess it’s just one of those things that you eventually get used to….and I was clearly a beginner!
Second, I realized how much has changed for me since starting this blog. What began as a place just to share my artwork, has turned into something so much more. A lot of people ask me what type of blog I have….and that’s always a hard question to answer. A fashion blog? An art blog? A lifestyle blog? I’d tell them all of the above. While fashion seems to be the dominant topic here, it wouldn’t be
“me” if I didn’t share about my art or my family. They are two huge pieces of my life that make me who I am. And not only that, but it’s so special for me to read back on past experiences and thoughts….to remember where I was at, and how far I’ve come. All that to say, I am thankful I decided to start this little space. I never thought that blogging would open up so many doors of opportunity, and I never thought that it would be something that I would enjoy so much. For me, it’s been a really organic growth, and I’m really thankful to everyone who reads along and keeps up with me here. The blogging community is pretty amazing!
